1. General provisions

These terms of use (the “Terms”) apply to the use of the cultuur.ai website (the “Service”), an experimental service that aggregates and presents AI-related news from the cultural sector in the Netherlands and Flanders.

By using this Service, you agree to the terms set out below.

2. Experimental nature of the Service

Important: this Service is an experimental project under development. Its functionality, availability and continuity may change or be discontinued at any time without prior notice.

No guarantees are given regarding:

  • The accuracy, completeness or timeliness of the information presented
  • The availability or performance of the Service
  • The continuity of the Service
  • Its suitability for specific purposes

3. Sources and content

The Service aggregates publicly available information from external sources. All rights to the original content belong to their respective owners. The Service does not claim ownership of the aggregated content.

Links to external websites are provided for information only. No responsibility is accepted for the content, availability or privacy practices of external websites.

4. Limitation of liability

The operators of this Service are not liable for:

  • Direct, indirect, incidental or consequential loss resulting from use of the Service
  • Loss of data, revenue, profit or business opportunities
  • Interruption of business activities
  • Incorrect, incomplete or outdated information
  • Technical problems, server outages or other technical failures
  • Actions by third parties or external sources

You use this Service entirely at your own risk.

5. Use of the Service

You agree to use the Service:

  • In accordance with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Without disrupting or misusing the Service
  • Without using automated systems that could overload the Service
  • Without infringing the rights of third parties

6. Privacy and cookies

Your privacy is important. This Service collects minimal data and does not use tracking cookies for commercial purposes. Standard web server logs may be retained for technical and security purposes.

When the cookie notice is active, your choice is stored locally in your browser under cultuur-consent. This uses local browser storage and, unlike a cookie, is not automatically sent with every page request.

You can allow necessary storage only or optionally allow statistics as well. With Necessary only, analytics storage remains denied. With Accept, if Google Analytics 4 or Google Tag Manager is configured, analytics cookies such as _ga may be used for aggregated statistics. These statistics are not used for advertising.

You can change your choice with the cookie icon at the bottom left of the website or by clearing cultuur.ai’s local storage and cookies in your browser.

7. Changes

These terms may be changed at any time. Continued use of the Service after a change means that you accept the new terms.

8. Termination

The Service may be terminated or interrupted at any time, for any reason and without prior notice.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes will be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands.

10. Language

These terms were drawn up in Dutch. If there is any discrepancy between the Dutch text and a translation, the Dutch text prevails.
